Scoring

Points are only awarded for correct predictions and will vary from 1 to 100 depending on the number of players who also made the correct prediction. The lower the number of players who make the correct prediction the more points will be awarded.

In the event of a game going to extra time, the result used will be the one after extra time but before any penalty shoot-out.

A guide to the number of points which can be earned for each prediction is displayed under each potential outcome. These numbers are updated hourly and are liable to change until kick-off time.

All points will be doubled in the final.

Joker

Each Matchday you can assign one prediction to be your joker. A correct joker prediction will result in the points awarded for that prediction being doubled. You can change your joker at any time until the kick-off of your joker fixture.

Leagues

Each player competes and is automatically entered in a number of leagues. These are:

  • The overall league involving all registered players
  • A league for fellow players from your country
  • A league for players starting the same Matchday as you
  • A league for supporters of your favourite team (optional)
  • Private leagues with your friends and colleagues (optional)

You can be in up to 10 private leagues. Points are awarded after each game as explained in the scoring section.

In addition, you will be automatically entered into a public league with other players.

Players joining before Matchday 1 will be placed in a tournament league which follows the real UEFA Euro 2008™ structure.

The 16 players will be broken into four groups of four and each Matchday play a match against another team in the group, with a match result based on game scores. The top two in each group will qualify for the quarter final, with knock-out matches progressing through to the league final. The eight non qualifiers will play a consolation knock-out stage.

Players entering after Matchday 1 will be entered in a standard league with other game players.

Phases

Each league is run on a phase and overall basis. The phases are as follow:

Phase First Matchday Last Matchday
Overall Group Stage 1 Final
Group stage Group Stage 1 Group Stage 3
Final phase Quarter-finals Final
